Tabs

  1. Ctrl+# key (1 to 8) – Switch to the tab number chosen (counting from the left)
  2. Ctrl+9 – Switch to the last tab.
  3. Ctrl+Tab – Switch to the next tab.
  4. Ctrl+Shift+Tab – Cycle backward to the previous tab.
  5. Ctrl+WCtrl+F4 – Close the current tab.
  6. Ctrl+Shift+W – Close all tab.
  7. Ctrl+Shift+T – Reopen the last closed tab.
  8. Ctrl+T – Open a new tab.
  9. Ctrl+N – Open a new browser window.
  10. Alt+F4 – Close the current window.
  11. Mousewheel Press – Closes tabs if clicked on a tab, opens links in a new tab, scroll

 

Mouse Actions for Tabs

  1. Middle Click a Tab – Close the tab.
  2. Ctrl+Left Click, Middle Click – Open a link in a background tab.
  3. Shift+Left Click – Open a link in a new browser window.
  4. Ctrl+Shift+Left Click – Open a link in the foreground tab.

 

Navigation

  1. Alt+Left Arrow or Backspace – Back.
  2. Alt+Right Arrow or Shift+Backspace – Forward.
  3. Ctrl+F5 or F5 – Reload the entire website.
  4. Escape – Stop.
  5. Alt+Home – Open homepage.
  6. Spacebar – Scroll down
  7. Shift+Spacebar – Scroll up

 

Zooming

  1. Ctrl and + or Ctrl+Mousewheel Up – Zoom in.
  2. Ctrl and – or Ctrl+Mousewheel Down — Zoom out.
  3. Ctrl+0 – Reset to 100% (default) zoom
  4. F11 – Full-screen mode.
  5. Ctrl+Mousewheel – Zoom in or out

 

Scrolling

  1. Space or Page Down – Scroll down a frame.
  2. Shift+Space or Page Up – Scroll up a frame.
  3. Home – Top of page.
  4. End – Bottom of page.
  5. Middle Click – Scroll with the mouse.

 

Search

  1. Ctrl+K or Ctrl+E – Focus on the browser’s built-in search box or focus on the address bar if the browser doesn’t have a dedicated search box. (Ctrl+K doesn’t work in IE, Ctrl+E does.)
  2. Alt+Enter – Perform a search from the search box in a new tab.
  3. Ctrl+G or F3 – Find the next match of the searched text on the page.
  4. Ctrl+Shift+G or Shift+F3 – Find the previous match of the searched text on the page.
  5. Ctrl+F or F3 – Open the in-page search box to search text on the current page.

 

History & Bookmarks

  1. Ctrl+H – Open the browsing history.
  2. Ctrl+J – Open the download history.
  3. Ctrl+D – Bookmark the current website.
  4. Ctrl+Shift+Del – Open the Clear Browsing History window.

 

Other Functions

  1. Ctrl+P – Print the current page.
  2. Ctrl+J – Open the downloads folder
  3. Ctrl+S – Save the current page to your computer.
  4. Ctrl+O – Open a file from your computer.
  5. Ctrl+U – Open the current page’s source code.
  6. F12 – Open Developer Tools.
  7. Alt + F – Makes the menu bar appear (if hidden)
