The Windows Automated Installation Kit (Windows AIK or WAIK) is a tool designed to help corporate IT professionals customize and deploy the Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 family of operation systems. By using Windows AIK, administrators can perform unattended Windows installations, capture Windows images with ImageX, and create Windows PE images.

With the release of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 SP1, WAIK has been updated to include support for these 2 latest version of operating system. The supported operating systems include Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows Vista Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 with KB926044, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 and Windows XP Service Pack 2 with KB926044.
