A new build of Windows 10 for both PC and Mobile has been released by Microsoft, as Microsoft is in full gear to iron out any bugs ahead of official release of Windows 10 Anniversary Update on August 2nd, 2016. The new build, Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14388, contains only bug fixes, and no new features.

Windows 10 Build 14388 was initially released for Windows Insiders on the Fast ring, but was also released to Slow ring several days later. However, no ISO images of the build is currently available. It has the full build string of 10.0.14388.0.RS1_RELEASE.160709-1635, and will move Windows 10 to version 1607, the version of Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

According to Microsoft‘s Windows Insider chief Dona Sarkar, the build has 44 new fixes in it including a bunch of fixes to improvement reliability and battery life and improvements to accessibility. A few of the most notable fixes are listed below.

Improvements and fixes for PC

  • Updated the Store to version 11606.1001.39 with bug fixes.
  • Fixed an issue where Narrator keyboard shortcuts would not work after locking PC and then logging back in and going to desktop.
  • Fixed an issue where Narrator would not read the date and time under Settings > Time & language > Date & time.
  • Fixed a TPM driver crash that could result in the device bug-checking (bluescreen) and rebooting.

Improvements and fixes for Mobile

  • Updated the Store to version 11606.1001.39 with bug fixes.
  • Fixed the issue causing the keyboard to not show up consistently for InPrivate mode on Microsoft Edge.
  • Fixed an issue that could result in an app getting into a state after being suspended where it would be unable to launch until rebooting the device.
