If you need to run and display Windows 10 in multiple languages, the MUI (Multilingual User Interface) and LIP (Language Interface Pack) language packs for RTM version of Windows 10 Build 10240 has been leaked to the Web for download, ahead of its official released by end July.

MUI Client Language Pack essentially adds additional complete language pack onto a Windows system. By default, all editions of Windows 10 are licensed to have one complete Client Language Pack to display the system’s UI. Additional Client Language Pack (MUI) required separate license. Select editions are also licensed to allow more than one language pack on the system at a time. These editions are known as multilingual editions. A multilingual edition enables users to change the UI language on a per-user basis. Since the UI language is associated with the user profile, multiple users that share the same system can use it in different languages.

Windows 10 MUI LP supports the following languages: Arabic, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (UK), English (US), Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Kazakh, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong SAR), Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), and Simplified Chinese.

On the other hand, Microsoft Windows Language Interface Pack (LIP) is a high-quality, localized “skin” for emerging or minority language markets. Based on MUI technology, LIP provides the desktop user with an approximately 80% localized user experience by translating a reduced set of user interface (UI) elements. LIP is installed on a licensed copy of Windows and has a dependency on a base Language Pack of Windows (for example, Catalan LIP can only be installed on top of Spanish or French LP, Welsh LIP can only be installed on top of English LP). Unlike MUI LP, LIP free, and is available for free download from Microsoft Download Center.
